Capabilities

Newly built in the mid 1970's, Excelsior Brass Works current facility is 45,000 square feet and provided with modern equipment for making high quality custom brass and bronze sand castings. Excelsior operates four furnaces with a combined melt capacity of 30,000 pounds per shift. Our engineering and metallurgical personnel are available to assist customers with casting design and material selection to assure compliance to specifications including ASTM, ASME, ASM, and Mil standards.

Markets Served

Excelsior Brass Works makes sand castings for OEM pressure type controls, meters, pumps, strainers, regulators, and valves for air, water, oil, and gas applications, hydraulic couplings and diverter valves. We also make castings for electrical connectors, marine parts, irrigation equipment, fire protection equipment, bearings, bushings, specialty machine parts, and parts requiring polish and plating quality.

(1) 25 ton per hour B&P 55B Heavy Duty batch muller with 150 ton storage silo and conveyorized automatic delivery and return sand system

Cleaning
(1) 7 cu. ft. Wheelabrator (steel shot)
(2) 27 x 36 Wheelabrators
Additional equipment includes cut-off saws, abrasive belt grinders, and other related equipment to finish castings to varying customer specifications

Pattern
In-plant pattern repair and maintenance shop for gating, riggings, and minor repair. Affiliated with several local excellent pattern shops for new patterns.
